This is the wall I built today
to block the neighbor cats from getting under the porch and doing "their business"
I used the extra rocks we had left from our front walk
that had been stacked on the front rock pile but didn't look good
Now they look good. At least I think so. :)

Seedlings!
The girls are still sick and Sunday I just had to get out of the house!!!! Daniel watched the girls while I went to my favorite local hang-out the Shanty. While I was out I remembered that Daniel had mentioned wanting to start some peppers soon. (He loves hot pepper but I never buy them)
I went to Ace hardware and picked up some seeds and seedling trays that were on sale for springtime. Hooray for springtime!
Heres Ev looking at her tomato seeds (I got her some tomatoes since none of us like them and I never buy those either. :)
Daniel really enjoyed showing her how to push the seeds in Ev's comment was surprisingly girlie "Oh! my fingernails are all dirty!"
Time to water! Now to wait patiently-NOT Evelyn's forte! :)

Here is my latest project. Sophie has outgrown her infant blankets and she needed something bigger to cuddle with and sleep with. Sandy gave me some fabric for the back and I found the panel at Wal MArt. So cute!!!! Sewed this part together yesterday (was somewhat amazed that I even remembered how to thread the machine, let alone measure and cut everything.
I think she likes it.
This was the inspiration blanket. It is Evelyn's "super blankie" that her great aunt Cathy made her when she was born.
They both love their blankets soooo much. I know they will treasure them throughout their childhoods. Cutie Pies!

Big Hair
Okay we had to cut Ev's hair the other day because it was so long it was in her face all the time. She wouldn't let us put it back in ponytails or clips and she always looked like a raggamuffin.
So the time had come. After much preparation and trepidation I decided that I would cut it myself and save us a few bucks. Daniel said I should start now, "while she doesn't care what she looks like." Thanks babe.
There are no pictures of the actual cutting because Daniel had to put the camera down in order to help Evelyn hold her head still.
Ta Da!!!!!!! The finished product. Not too bad. I was sure I would butcher it but I think she'll survive. :)
